Just before becoming a charity in mid September 2025, we had an extremely successful event T&Fizz and the wonderful village I live in held 'Magnafest' with ticket sales profits coming to Teamtorri. 

 

In October 2025, we were able to give a family a grant to help them fund a wish trip to Disney Land Florida.  Also, we sponsored a Gillingham youth football team, ensuring a quality kit for the next couple of years along with wonderful exposure of our little charity. 

 

November and things got busy! There was a pop up shop, Christmas lights switch on in Shaftesbury, a wonderful group of ladies held a netball tournament, more kindness from NatWest Bank Shaftesbury holding a raffle and sales of our own Christmas Cards. Also, we became in contact with the social workers of YLVC (young lives versus cancer) from Southampton after delivering the Tropic care bags for the parents in hospital and they are contacting us with families in need of our assistance. Our first grants for travel to London on a weekly basis for appointments is in place. 

 

In December, we sold more Christmas cards and there was a quiz night that was a huge success and is now going to be an annual event. We also have more families with us, still the family to London each week and another family is dire straights financially as both parents can’t work so we assist with the mortgage. 

 

January 2026 saw the annual Christmas Tree chipping for which we are renowned for. More families are coming forward, some we can help now, some later. We are still assisting the travel to London family and the mortgage family along with a family facing a BMT and all having to relocate to London, already on benefits due to a situation not their fault and this financial strain not welcome. We’ve provided food vouchers and help financially monthly to ease a little bit. 

 

February saw our annual Ball and wow what an event to be apart of.  Also NatWest Bank have decided to have Teamtorri as their charity to support for a while . We learn of more heartbreak for families which hopefully we will be able to assist when the time is right. Still able to support the London travel family but now things are on the up they no longer need the help. The mortgage support has its final payment although things are still tricky for the family & the BMT family are in London and we are carrying out our commitment to support them, this one will be a slow support but we will see it till it’s sorted. 

 

March 2026 – we’ve done a great hamper draw and now the  cinema  and a meal draw is in action.We are still here for the BMT family, given more vouchers for food and fun to families to help lift some pressure, arranging mascots  for an end of treatment celebration and paying for music  therapy after a long treatment to recovery. And at the end of this month a Classic Tractor  and Vintage Car  event at Henstridge Airfield.So this is why we keep asking for you to join us in events, raffles and anything else we can do to raise money.

 

Every week I’m hearing of things families need and we can help them when the time is right and long may that continue - with your support. What Teamtorri is doing is providing a lifeline, all along I’ve said, ‘Torri’s struggles must not have been for nothing.’ 

 

We’ve learnt so much and we (your trustees) will do all we can to keep Torri’s light shining.
